Coimbatore : To provide legal support and stand by the victim's family in their grief, Kamal Haasan along with his legal experts arrived at the seven-year old victim's home on Friday and offered their condolences to the victim's family. He then urged the ruling government to take prompt action to arrest all the culprits involved in the heinous crime.

He later visited SP Pandiarajan at his office and urged him to deliver justice to the girl's family. A release from Makkal Needhi Maiam said, "Kamal Haasan emphasized on the fact that the girl deserves justice to be delivered swiftly. He also pointed out the mistake made by the Superintendent of Police for Coimbatore (Rural) Pandiyarajan in the past and said that the SP should ensure the culprits are punished. This way the SP can earn back the respect and trust of the people of Tamil Nadu." The release also noted that the SP had assured to deliver his best.
