Coimbatore : The National Institute of Naturopathy is conducting a three-day Yoga fest in Coimbatore to sensitize the masses regarding Yoga in Coimbatore, from March 29 to 31. The Yoga fest has been sponsored by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy.

The release from the organization says, "Keeping in view the preventive and holistic benefits of Yoga among the masses, especially the youth, the Government of India has taken steps to spread this Indian cultural and spiritual heritage worldwide. Yoga Fests and Utsavs are conducted across India to envisage the promotion, propagation and development of Yoga in the mainstream of mass and class in every State and Union Territory of the country where various Yoga traditions shall meet to form a Yogic Ocean."
The goals will feature the following directions: Promote the classical tradition of Yoga, educate people on the scientific aspects of Yoga, educate people on the policies of the Government in education and training in Yoga, create an opportunity for networking between the experts and stake holders, promote the 'Make in India' through brand generation of Yoga apparels, teaching aids and games, and create a network of Yoga Training Institutes and Centres for promotion and propagation of Yoga.
