Coimbatore: According to the State Child Welfare Commission member, Mohan, it is said that the 7-year old girl child who was found murdered in Coimbatore city limits might have actually been subjected to joint sexual assault.

Addressing the media, Mohan said, "The police are still enquiring of school teachers and locals at Pannimadai about the murder of the 7-year old girl. We will receive the full postmortem report tomorrow. Once we receive all the details, we will take the next step. Upon inquiry, we came to know that the child was assaulted sexually.
And the possibility of joint sexual assault is also more likely. The police, on the other hand are not only enquiring with the locals but also outsiders. The criminals will be arrested as soon as possible. The criminals might be the persons who are already under police custody or someone else. Action will also be taken against those who reveal the identity of the girl directly or indirectly. The report of the Child Commission will be submitted to the Tamil Nadu government,” he reiterated.
