A flying squad team led by Senthil Kumar and Deputy Inspector Gandhiraj were involved in vehicle checks near Veerapandi Pirivu, near Mettupalayam here. During the checks, officials seized Rs.4,06,500 from a woman Saraswathi (38) on a two-wheeler.
Officials have handed over the cash to the Assistant Electoral Officer Punitha. The woman was told that she could recover the amount after showing appropriate documents regarding the cash.
