Tirupur: An electoral flying squad team involved in checking vehicles in Karadivavi area near Palladam, seized Rs.10 crores in cash from a vehicle which was moving to Tuticorin from Coimbatore.
Tirupur: An electoral flying squad team involved in checking vehicles in Karadivavi area near Palladam, seized Rs.10 crores in cash from a vehicle which was moving to Tuticorin from Coimbatore.
On interrogation, it is reported that the persons in the vehicle said that the entire cash belonged to the Podanur branch of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank from where it was being taken to Tuticorin. Since they did not possess documents substantiating their explanation for the cash, the officials took the entire amount to the Palladam taluk office. The men were told that they could collect the amount from the taluk office after submitting the relevant documents.
