Coimbatore : Election flying squad on Thursday seized Rs. 5 lakhs of unaccounted cash and two air guns from the vehicle of a private security company.
According to Election squad officer, Rajeshwari, during a vehicle inspection the vehicle was caught on the Vadavalli - Thondamauthur road. Upon inquiry, the persons in the vehicle noted that they were on the way to dispersed cash to a bank in Iruttupallam here.
As they did not possess any license for the two guns, the election squad officer handed over them to the District Collectorate.
The confiscated cash was handed over after verifying the documents.
