Coimbatore : With election campaigns on in full swing by all the political parties in Coimbatore district, the CPI (M) candidate P R Natarajan from the DMK alliance, kick-started his campaign yesterday in a vehicle that resembled a jet. The vehicle was thus designed as a mock reminder for people to recall BJP’s alleged corrupt Rafale deal and vote for his party symbol.

His campaign continued into the second consecutive day at Lingappa Chetty Street and New Thiyagaraya Street. "Due to demonetisation, thousands of small industries were shut down and Central Government companies in Coimbatore were closed. Unemployment is the only achievement of the Central Government," alleged P R Natarajan. "We will take action to reopen the closed industries and minimize GST," reiterated P R Natarajan, right through his campaign.
