Coimbatore: Coimbatore police arrested two persons, Ramesh and his wife Kanchana who murdered an old woman in Sowripalayam recently to clear off their debts.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore police arrested two persons, Ramesh and his wife Kanchana who murdered an old woman in Sowripalayam recently to clear off their debts.
An old woman was murdered recently in Sowripalayam. She was found dead with her neck strangled and jewels missing. A case was registered and five teams of police were deployed to investigate the murder. With the help of CCTV footage, the police found a couple who was committed this murder and theft. The couple had vacated their house in Sowripalayam and were living in a rented house in Sulur, after the murder. The police traced the couple and arrested them in Sulur.
During the inquiry, the couple revealed that they stole the jewels and murdered the old woman due to their increasing debts. The police recovered six sovereign of gold jewels and a two-wheeler from them, and have commenced investigation.
