Coimbatore : Chandran, Coordinator and Committee member of DMK has been arrested in Sulur on Wednesday for misbehaving with women on a train.
According to reports, on March 8, Chandran was on his way back to Sulur in a train after attending DMK's electoral candidate meeting in Chennai. It is alleged that he had misbehaved with women passengers on the train who at a point pulled the chain and stopped the train.
The railway police arrived at the spot and enquired about the incident. Following this, Chandran along with three others wrote an apology letter and handed it over to the police, after which they were let go.
Meanwhile, the Salem railway police along with the Sulur police arrested Chandran at his party office in Sulur yesterday, claiming that an FIR had been filed regarding the incident, in Chennai.
