Tirupur teacher drips hot wax on student's hand as punishment for incomplete homework

Tirupur: Manohar, an employee of a printing press and Revathi his wife who works in a knitwear company reside at Pappanaickenpalayam, Tirupur. 

Their two sons Tarun (11) and Bharath (9) study in a nearby private school. When Bharath complained to his parents of pain in his hand, they were shocked to see burn marks on his hand. On questioning the boy, he revealed that his teacher Ramya had punished him by dripping hot wax from a burning candle on his hand, for not doing his homework properly. 



The parents immediately registered a complaint at the Tirupur (North) Police station. Upon inquiry, the police arrested Ramya and produced her at Court. Later, she was imprisoned at the Coimbatore Central prison.
