Coimbatore : Addressing the media, the Coimbatore Collector K Rajamani stated, "The parents of the girl who are employed as sanitation workers have requested to take severe action against the accused and to arrest them under the POCSO ACT.
Being economically backward, they requested relief from the Government. Their request has been taken into consideration. The police have also been directed to speed up the arrest of the accused and produce them before a court of law and the public.
Since the public have been protesting continuously since yesterday, we have assured to take necessary action as early as possible, respecting their emotions,” he further added.
