The Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), led by R.K. Nagar legislator, T.T.V. Dhinakaran, on March 17 released their first list of candidates for the upcoming general elections and Assembly bypolls.
In the first list, the party named nominees for 20 parliamentary constituencies and nine Assembly seats. While the AMMK has decided to field candidates in 38 Lok Sabha seats, it has allotted Central Chennai to its ally, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
Nine disqualified legislators have been fielded as AMMK’s candidates in their original constituencies.
