Coimbatore : Even as the city struggles to come to terms with the gruesome murder of Sathish and Vanitha's, seven-year old daughter whose corpse was found in a pit in city limits on Tuesday morning, the distraught parents refused to accept the corpse of the child, demanding stern action from the police on the heinous crime.
Though the autopsy has been completed, the medical reports are expected after a fortnight. In this scenario, tense moments prevailed at the Government Hospital, with the parents and relatives of the child getting into a tussle with the police, demanding justice.

The parents were further irked when politicians visited the hospital to enquire about the crime. "As elections are nearing, these politicians are so keen to visit us. Don't use this to gain votes," shouted the child's relatives. MLA Arukutty who visited the scene a few hours ago was forced to leave, since the relatives of the child entered into a verbal argument with him.

Following him, C P Radhakrishnan, BJP's electoral candidate visited the hospital to pacify the parents. However, the parents and kin have been determined in continuing the road block in front of the GH demanding the arrest of the culprits immediately and to punish them with a death sentence.
