Sathish and Vanitha along with their 7--year-old daughter resides in Thippanoor near Pannimadai. The girl was studying 1st std in a nearby Government school. Yesterday, as she did not return home after school hours, her parents lodged a complaint in the police station.
This morning, the girl was found dead inside a pit in Kasturinaickenpudur here. Her hands were tied and knife scars were found in many places in her body. The police retreived the girl’s body and sent to the Government Hospital for post mortem.
The Thudiyalur police have filed a case and commenced investigation. The incident has jolted the residents of the area.
