Hundreds of NTK cadres led by S. Kalyanasundaram have sought action against the BJP cadre who allegedly assaulted a NTK party cadre.
"Not only did the BJP cadre restricted our campaigners from going ahead but also abused them using caste identity", noted Kalayanasundaram, NTK electoral candidate for Coimbatore constituency.
He briefed that argument heated up between our cadre and BJP cadre, Mahendran after he stopped our party members from campaigning, stating that the area was dominated by BJP. The verbal tussle broke into a brawl, as the BJP cadre lost control and attacked NTK supporters.
NTK supporters claim that the Police did not stop the BJP cadre from attacking.
"As there is no action from the police even after producing evidences of the incident. Hence, we are going to register a complaint to the electoral officer today at the District Collectorate".
