Thereafter, while addressing the media, he reinforced BJP's promise to provide a permanent solution to the city's traffic woes. He reiterated that a democracy’s strongest point was in conducting elections on time. "Though there were a few mistakes in the past, the Election Commission is working toward correcting those mistakes," he stated.
Commenting on the winning prospects of the NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu, C P Radhakrishnan opined, "The AIADMK alliance will win all 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. At the Centre, people want a stable government which only BJP can provide. A stable government is needed to protect the people, for only a stable government can ensure development."
Hailing the BJP government. C P Radhakrishnan said, "There has been no price rise during the last five years of the Modi government. The economy is growing. Moreover, gone are the times when India had to fear other countries but now the world is looking at India because of Modi. India is the only country which did not get a loan from the World Bank which is laudable."
The BJP candidate also promised that if elected to power, housing will be provided for all, a dream which will come true by 2024. Electricity for all households and gas connection for every citizen will be provided, he added.
C P Radhakrishnan mentioned that the TN Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister have asked for interlinking of the Southern rivers. "Godavari and Cauvery will be interlinked if voted to power," he promised. When asked about his plans for Coimbatore, he replied, "Traffic is a major concern now in Coimbatore. a metro train project will be implemented for sure.
Once we come to power, the flyover will be extended till Neelambur, the Mettupalayam road will be widened and flyovers will be constructed wherever necessary. Airport expansion is on the cards to improve the business economy of Coimbatore. MSME sector is going through a lot of problems and support for the MSME sector will be increased if BJP is voted to power," he added.
Answering a question if the PM intended to visit Coimbatore for campaigning, C P Radhakrishnan replied "Prime Minister Narendra Modi , the TN Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy and the Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will visit Coimbatore for campaigning."
