Coimbatore: “The Smart City is full of mosquitoes and the city has recorded many dengue deaths in the recent year. What is Smart about the city when sanitation and mosquitoes can’t be controlled?”, questioned Kalyanasundaram, Naam Tamilar Party candidate for Coimbatore Constituency.
Filing his nominations to contest in the upcoming Parliamentary elections from here, S.Kalyanasundaram requested the people to cast their votes for his party to bring a change. “Both CPI (M) and BJP Candidates have been elected in the past in the City and they have contributed nothing monumental. The City needs a revamp and change. Certainly, Naam Tamilar can make it possible as most of the candidates are young graduates and women have been granted equal seats in our party”.
He also opined that if Kerala goes ahead to build a check dam across Siruvani, either of the two parties, CPI (M) and BJP would not show their concrete opposition. “In the name of GST and demonstration, the small and micro enterprises have been wiped out of this entrepreneurial city. If elected, we will strive to revive them.”
He also alleged that the sanitation and waste management in the city needs immediate attention. The deaths due to dengue were covered up by the health officials.
