Govindan from Kovilpalayam will be contesting on the 'elephant' symbol of the BSP party in the Coimbatore constituency. "It was B R Ambedkar who got the right to vote for the oppressed, thus ushering in politico-legal equality in the nation. To emphasise that right, I am contesting on behalf of the BSP here," noted Govindan.
