While all the candidates marched with a huge fanfare, Sundarajan, an independent candidate from Kuniamuthur walked all alone to file his nomination by tying a black ribbon in his eyes.
"Democracy doesn't exist anymore. Only power and money exists. So, I have planned to contest as an independent candidate for the upcoming Parliamentary elections", said Sundarajan.
His novel style of filing nomination garnered the attention of the public and cadres of other political parties who have gathered in large numbers since morning at the Collectorate.
