The electoral candidate for Coimbatore Constituency from BJP, C.P. Radhakrishnan met the press and briefed on his manifesto for Coimbatore and also criticised the opposition party on their alliance.
"Metro rail project for Coimbatore will be executed. A world class airport will be developed in Coimbatore", he noted.
When questioned, if Kamal Haasan contesting from Coimbatore would affect his victory, he said "It is the democratic right of Kamal to contest in the elections and his winning prospects will be decided only after the elections”.
He also clarified that there is no internal politics or fights within the party which was alleged to have contributed to his defeat in 2014 parliamentary election.
"BJP as a party believes and practices discipline", he added.
"Most of the promises given by Stalin cannot be fulfilled by him, as it needs approval from the Central government.
This is the first time, that there has been no rise in price in the country. The NDA alliance with AIADMK is heading towards victory. Our alliance is a 'Chanakiyan' move. To the contrary, DMK has formed an alliance which is still speculating their Prime Ministerial candidate".
He also criticised Stalin for giving away promises which only a Prime Minister can approve.
