Coimbatore: More than 100 people from several political parties enrolled themselves to the Congress party in the presence of Mayura Jayakumar, TN Congress Working President, here on Sunday.
Coimbatore: More than 100 people from several political parties enrolled themselves to the Congress party in the presence of Mayura Jayakumar, TN Congress Working President, here on Sunday.
The members met the working President at the party office here and submitted letters expressing their will fullness to join the Congress party.

Speaking about this, Mayura Jayakumar said "More than 100 cadres who have held various positions in AIADMK, TMC, and PMK have joined Congress party today. Due positions will be given to them in our party".
As part of of the DMK-led alliance, Congress got a total of 10 Lok Sabha seats -- nine in Tamil Nadu and the lone Puducherry seat.

Tamil Nadu, which is also not seen as a Congress stronghold, has recorded 250,000 fresh booth level registrations in the last two weeks alone.
"There is tremendous enthusiasm across various states. Both Tamil Nadu and Kerala stand out in terms of a clear and dramatic rise in booth level interest and number of registrations", said workers,” Praveen Chakravarty, head of Congress’ data analytics department to ET.
