The final draft will be released soon", said an election officer from Coimbatore. The election commission released a draft on January 31, 2019 indicating that 28,61,961 voters in Coimbatore, out of which 14,17,683 are male voters; 14,43,967 female voters and 311 are transgender voters.
Following the request from political parties to extend the deadline for inclusion of left out voters, the election commission conducted several camps to induct new voters and change names and addresses of existing voters.
During such special camps, 40,000 new voters have been added and a final draft would be released soon, an official confirmed.
