Chennai : Sathya Pratha Sahoo, the Chief Electoral Officer for Tamil Nadu has announced that the State election commission is ready to conduct by polls for Sulur, Ottapidaram and Thiruparankundram.
During a press interaction, he said "We are ready to conduct by polls for three constituencies -- Sulur, Ottapidaram and Thiruparankundram. We have intimated the same to the Election Commission of India for their approval".
He further mentioned that after implementation of model code of conduct, the officials have seized 209 kgs of gold, 310 kgs of silver, Rs. 30 crore cash, out of which Rs. 4.45 crore has been returned back to the concerned people after due verification. Also, 94 kgs of gold has also been returned on submission of relevant documents.
