Coimbatore : Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Coimbatore Zone organized the 12th Edition of HR Conclave recently, themed 'ERA 4.0: Employee Relation and Analytics'.
The conclave focused on the broad parameters of HR Analytics in manufacturing and non-manufacturing, as well as discussed on the recent IR practices and challenges forward.
While delivering the Special Address, R. Varadarajan, Chairman, CII, Coimbatore Zone said that Technology has become an integral part of every aspect of business, including the human resources function. As we come to depend on metrics, the use of technology increases and brings with it a fear of intrusion into the privacy of the individual. When organisations create processes for their business operations, they tend to measure it on the efficiency they achieve internally and therefore miss out on customer needs. It is important that organisations create business processes which are always customer centric".

Latha Rajan, Co-founder, MaFoi Strategy in her special address mentioned about the 'Impact of Industry 4.0' by highlighting the new opportunities; labour intensive becomes skill intensive, product customization etc. She further said "Due to the revolution of Industry 4.0, there is an increase in productivity by 30% against drop in maintenance cost. Due to this, more high paying jobs being created, high degree of autonomy and flexibility was given to human resources. ERA 4.0 has made shift from employee engagements to employee experience; redefining learning and making it more relevant".
T Narendran, Co-convenor, HR & IR Panel, P Muthuvelappan, Mentor, HR & IR Panel, CII and nearly 150 HR professionals attended the conclave.
