An official statement from the District Collector and returning officer, J. Innocent Divya stated that only two candidates have filed nominations in the Nilgiris.
"Manimegalai of Naam Tamilar Katchi and Thiyagarajan of AIADMK filed their nominations at the district collectorate, today", the statement said.
