Thiyagarajan of AIADMK filed his nomination papers at the District Collectorate, today. The party members who accompanied the candidate were stopped 100 meters away from the police station. After filing the nomination, the party cadres scouted for a suitable spot to begin their campaign.
They found the G1 police station to be an ideal spot, and began their campaign by climbing the walls of the police station. Police officers were said to have been miffed by the presence of MPs and MLAs, as well as AIADMK cadres in the police station.
