Coimbatore: Corporation Commissioner, Sravan Kumar convened a review meeting with officials at the Corporation office on sanitary work being carried out in the District on Thursday.
During the meeting, he stressed that the zonal sanitary officers and monitoring officials should ensure constants checks to ascertain if sanitary works are being carried out regularly in all the wards.
The officials should strive to maintain a clean and tidy Coimbatore, he added.
"During summer, tree branches would be trimmed or cut to ‘protect’ power lines across the city by the TNEB department. The officials of the corporation should take immediate measures to clear the debris, thus averting traffic congestion", the Commissioner noted.
He also insisted that all the bus stands within the Corporation limit should be sanitised and well-maintained. The officials were also alerted to keep a check on removal of encroachments and unauthorised hoardings in the city.
