DMK Engineering Wing petitions for ban on ‘PM Narendra Modi’ movie

Coimbatore: The Deputy Secretary of the Pollachi South DMK Engineering Wing, Arasu Boopathi has petitioned the election division at the District Collectorate seeking a ban on the movie 'PM Narendra Modi.’

Coimbatore: The Deputy Secretary of the Pollachi South DMK Engineering Wing, Arasu Boopathi has petitioned the election division at the District Collectorate seeking a ban on the movie 'PM Narendra Modi.’

A petition filed by Arasu Boopathi states, "A movie titled ‘PM Narendra Modi’ directed by Omung Kumar was scheduled to release on April 12. An interim ban should be levied on the movie till May 19 with regard to elections as scenes regarding the political life of PM Narendra Modi are present in the movie."

Addressing the media, Arasu Boopathy said, "A copy of the complaint has been sent to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Sunil Arora and also to media firms."
