Coimbatore: With the TTV Dinakaran led Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) camp going in for a flurry changes as senior party leaders join DMK and arch rivals AIADMK, senior party leader and former MLA from Singanallur Assembly Constituency R. Chinnasamy claimed that the party is not shaken because of their exits.
“We do not bank on backstabbers but rely on the name and fame of our charismatic leader Dhinakaran,” he said addressing party workers today during the introduction of the party’s candidate N.R. Appadurai who will be contesting from the Coimbatore constituency.
He further alleged that V.P. Kalairajan, who recently defected the party to join DMK in the presence of DMK President M.K. Stalin, has been in touch with DMK for a long time, without the knowledge of his own party leaders.
“He was immediately removed from the party as soon as his motives were identified by our Chief. The party will take care of all it’s cadre and will not fear to remove them if their behaviour is not in par with our Chief,” he said.
V.P. Kalairajan is the second AMMK functionary to join DMK after Senthil Balaji.
Chinnasamy also claimed that TTV Dhinakaran was loved by the people of Tamil Nadu adding that he was the sole heir of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa.
