Coimbatore: Palanisamy Raj, hailing from Punjai Puliyampatti is contesting in the Coimbatore constituency as an independent candidate for the third time.
Coimbatore: Palanisamy Raj, hailing from Punjai Puliyampatti is contesting in the Coimbatore constituency as an independent candidate for the third time.
He filed his nomination today with the District Collector Rajamani who is the Election Officer for Coimbatore.
Palanisamy Raj worked as Secretary of the Primary Agriculture Society in Nochikuttai of Punjai Puliyampatti for 39 years. He was leader of the Mahatma Makkal Katchi. He was awarded with the Mahatma Gandhi award, Abdul Kalam award and Best Citizen award for his social causes. He has thus far contested in the Gobichettipalayam assembly election and the Tiruppur election as an MP.
“There is no integrity in today’s politics and the judges in India are not appointed correctly. These are the reasons why I am contesting in the election,” stated Palanisamy Raj.
