The flying squad team led by the Regional Development Officer, J Siva were conducting vehicle checks at an e-corner near the GP signal here, which falls under the Southern assembly constituency.
Just after midnight at 12.15 am today, while checking a car driven by a man named Mano, the team seized Rs 7.21 lakhs from him since the money was being carried without proper documents. The seized cash has been deposited in the sub-treasury.
