Coimbatore : A 15-year old neem tree in Kannigaparameswari Nagar, near Nanjundapuram bypass in the Ramanathapuram area of the city suddenly fell crashing to the ground, last evening.
Coimbatore : A 15-year old neem tree in Kannigaparameswari Nagar, near Nanjundapuram bypass in the Ramanathapuram area of the city suddenly fell crashing to the ground, last evening.
Fire service personnel used timber-cutting machines to remove the tree from the spot, after a two-hour struggle. Income tax and electricity department officials, police and corporation officials and members of the 'OSAI' organization also joined hands with the fire service personnel to remove the fallen tree.
There were no casualties since people were not on the road at the time of the incident.
