Coimbatore : In a candid address to the media at the Coimbatore airport, Pollachi Jayaraman said, "When the CB-CID enquired about the transparency of the complaint that I had lodged, I gave them all the proof that I had." He questioned the media saying, "I want to ask you a question and you should publish it. Did you ask for proof from those who raised allegations against me and my family in the Pollachi case?”
Pollachi Jayaraman reiterated his innocence by stating that the audio and video recorded by the victim and her brother revealing the help rendered by him had been completely released. To a question that was raised about his children escaping to other countries, Pollachi Jayarman retorted, "My children are very much here and looking after their jobs.
Don’t spread any baseless allegations. The AIADMK will only support the affected persons. The people of Pollachi know me from my childhood. They are very much aware that the allegations hurled on me are mere lies. I have contested in elections five times and elected as the MP for four terms. As the allegations against me and AIADMK are baseless, AIADMK will win the elections in all 40 constituencies.
I request all not to spread unnecessary hoax claims. Does nobody in DMK make mistakes? And even if someone makes a mistake, is the DMK leader Stalin responsible for it? Similarly, in the AIADMK which has 1.5 crore party workers, if one person commits a mistake, how can the leadership be responsible? But the AIADMK party workers will not make such mistakes,” he reiterated.
