Nirmala (29) a resident of Ayyankolli near Kolappalli of Pandalur Taluk in Gudalur is working as an Assistant professor in Bharathiar arts and science college, near Gudalur.
Today morning, when Nirmala was at her house she heard someone knocking the door. As she opened the door, in a flick of a second, two strangers snatched her chain and escaped. Struck in panic, Nirmala escalated the issue to the forest staff who came along her street who inturn alerted the Police.
Following this, a police team led by Devala Inspector, Manivannan arrived to the spot and enquired about the incident. Following the orders of Pandalur DSP Ramachandran, sniffer dogs were brought to the spot for further enquiry.
The police have registered a case and are investigating.
