Tirupur: An independent candidate who filed nomination for Tirupur Lok sabha constituency announced some 'attractive' schemes in his election manifesto.
A.K Sheik Dawood of Anthiyur, Erode is working in a knitting factory, in Tirupur. Today he filed nomination as an independent candidate at the Torupur District Collectorate.

Speaking about his manifesto, Dawood said “An amount of of Rs. 25000 will be deposited in the account of all home makers. I will procure brandy from Pondicherry and distribute 10 litres monthly to every member of the family. And, also Government job for at least one member of the family".
His manifesto further promised to grant 10 sovereign of jewelry along with Rs.10 lakh from MP fund and conduct the marriage free of cost. "I will work earnestly like Kakkanji and not take a penny as bribe till my death".
He also promised to regulate the water supply in Tirupur. The manifesto earned criticism and laughter from the people at the Collectorate.
