Necessary arrangements have been made at the District Collectorate and the North Revenue Department Office with regard to the filing of nomination papers today for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Kadhiresan of Tamilnadu Kal Iyakkam filed his nomination papers at the District Collectorate this morning, being the first candidate to do so. Kadhiresan hails from Karur district.
After filing his nomination, Kadhiresan addressed the media saying, "I am contesting in the elections with 13 major demands including using of ethanol as fuel, implementing the recommendation of agriculture commission and seeking to file review petition in the Cauvery water case. Kal Iyakkam is contesting in only one constituency in Tamil Nadu. "We have chosen Tirupur since people from various other states live together, here," he added.
