Coimbatore : Lawyers across the State are up in arms against those accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse racket. About 2000 lawyers in Coimbatore have been agitating in front of the Coimbatore Court for the past two days, demanding for strict action against S P Pandiyarajan.
Over 70,000 lawyers from across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry demonstrated in front of the Courts demanding swift justice against the accused.
More than 70 women lawyers carrying placards and protest boards, demonstrated in front of the Coimbatore Court demanding that the CBI, headed by a lady judge, ought to conduct the investigations in the Pollachi sexual abuse case.
In addition, they demanded the removal of S P Pandiyarajan and alleged that needed to be investigated as the main culprit in the Pollachi case. The lawyers reiterated their stand saying that until the victims of the sex scandal received justice, they would continue to agitate.
