As per the orders from the National Green Tribunal, stern action will be initiated if anyone is found farming or breeding banned foreign fish species such as the Clarias gariepinus and Thai.
Fish farm centres can procure fish varieties such as katla, rogue, sadha kendai, pul kendai, velli kendai and other varieties that have been permitted by the government.
