M. Ramasamy, a retired IAS official will compete against A. Raja, former MP from DMK and Thyagarajan of AIADMK in the Nilgiris constituency.
"Though A. Raja has come out of the prison, he will be back in the prison, shortly", said the retired IAS officer. He also slammed Raja for not understanding the needs of the people in the Nilgiris and fulfilling them during his tenure in 2009.
Commenting on the AIADMK candidate, Thyagarajan, he said "I don't regard him as a competitor. As he has never held the position of a MP for a continued period. Our enemy in the State is DMK and BJP in the Centre. AIADMK is not in our eye line at all".
