Tirupur : In a rather bizare incident, a couple of youngsters have used a peculiar method to get away with not paying for the petrol they filled.
The incident happened in Perumanallur at midnight when two men came to fill petrol for their two wheeler. The petrol bunk which is in the National Highways near Eetiveerampalayam. The bunk belongs to Samiappan.
It was customary for the bunk to be manned by two staff during the night. On March 13th, two unidentified men who came in a two wheeler wearing helmets asked to fill petrol for ₹600.
After filling the petrol, in the guise of taking cash to pay the pill ion rider took the sword which was 3 feet in length and brandished it in front of the two employees.
They stunned the employees and fled the scene. The whole scene has been recorded in the CCTV camera positioned in the petrol bunk.
The two employees along with Samiappan gave a complaint with the Perumanallur Police Station. But to their dismay the case has not yet been registered in the station and the public who are in the vicinity have urged quick action against the perpetrators.
In the complaint, they have mentioned that the two men who committed the bizarre crime could be from Southern Districts of Tamilnadu based on their accent.
