Coimbatore : Responding to the Madurai High Court's directive to initiate action on SP Pandiarajan and questioning the Tamil Nadu State Police department for revealing the identity of the complainant, DGP, T.K. Rajendran has issued a statement to all City Commissioners and SPs across the State urging to follow the protocol strictly and instruct the same to their subordinates.

Rajendran has issued a statement to all City Commissioners and SPs across the State urging to follow the protocol strictly and instruct the same to their subordinates.
Through an official note the DGP has cited the Madurai High Court's directive and warned all the officials in the State police department to adhere to the rule of refraining from revealing the identity of the complainant in cases like POCSO.
The official communique also instructed to seal the cover of the complaint, while sending them to the Court or while circulating them to other district/zonal police stations.
"Any deviations in this regard will be viewed very seriously", said the statement.
