Coimbatore: Police have arrested the minor boy of a DMK member of Valparai, under POCSO act for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.
Coimbatore: Police have arrested the minor boy of a DMK member of Valparai, under POCSO act for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl.
According to reports, the 17-year-old son of Ravi alias Kakka Ravi of Valparai had sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl of a daily labourer. The boy had lured the girl and took her to his home and sexually abused her.
Upon knowing the incident, the parents of the girl rushed to Kakka Ravi, who was once the PA of Ex-MLA Singaravelu. As, Ravi requested the parents not to leak the incident, the girl’s mother filed a complaint with Pollachi Women's Police Station.
Based on the complaint, the minor was arrested under POCSO act and was lodged at Juvenile home. The girl has been admitted to Coimbatore government hospital for treatment.
