Irked by the callousness of the Police department in handling the case and tracing out the network associated in the case, the protestors raised slogans urging action against the police officials who handled the case before it was handed over to CB-CID.
The protestors later gathered in front of Thiruvalluvar Thidal in Pollachi and staged a road roko. They held placards and raised slogans against the CM, Edapadi K Palanisamy for being tight-lipped about the case which has jolted the entire State of Tamil Nadu.
They also questioned that the silence of the ruling party in the issue raises the dubiousness, if any political party heads or their aides could have involvement in the case.
Public, Students, K. Ramakrishnan from TPDK, Transgender activist, Kalki Subramanian, representatives from VCK, DMK, MNM, CPI, CPI (M) took part in the protest.
