According to reports, a sudden fire broke out today at an old goods storage godown by the name 'SKR' which is situated at Madukkarai here.
On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire after nearly two hours. It is reported that goods worth several lakhs were damaged in the fire that was supposedly caused by dried up shrubs nearby.
The godown is jointly owned by Kadar and Jabarulla. Computer, spare parts and other plastic materials stored in the godown have been completely reduced to ashes due in the fire.
