After the official seat sharing and constituency announcement by M.K. Stalin, President of DMK at Anna Arivalayam in Chennai, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) convened a press meet to announce the name of the two candidates from CPI (M).
K. Balakrishnan, State Secretary of CPI (M) announced that P.R. Natarajan will compete in the Coimbatore Constituency. And, K. Venkatesan for Madurai Constituency.
P.R. Natarajan of CPI (M) is a prominent political leader of the party. During the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, he contested in Coimbatore for CPI(M) and won with 25.19 percent votes.
