Coimbatore : The CB-CID have petitioned the court seeking custody of Thirunavukkarasu, one among the prime accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse case.
Coimbatore : The CB-CID have petitioned the Court seeking custody of Thirunavukkarasu, one among the prime accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse case.
Thirunavukkarasu, Sathish, Sabarirajan, Vasanth Kumar, the four prime accused in the Pollachi sexual abuse case have been detained under the Goondas Act. The case had been transferred to CB-CID, as more people are expected to have linked to this case.
Though a GO had been passed to transfer the case to the CBI, it has not been transferred yet. Meanwhile, the CB-CID Police had conducted an investigation at Thirunavukkarasu's residence at Makkinampatti near Pollachi, yesterday. Police stated that important documents have been seized during this raid.
Meanwhile, the CB-CID filed a petition at the Court seeking custody of Thirunavukkarasu for further investigation. Since the hearing of the petition will occur today, Thirunavukkarasu is expected to appear before the Court.
