Coimbatore : The Coimbatore District Collector, K Rajamani inspected the control rooms which have been set up ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He inspected the election control room, telephone information room and the media monitoring division that had been set up by the district electoral office, at the District Collectorate.

"Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the election control room has been set up at the District Collectorate which will function round-the-clock. People can lodge their complaints on the toll free number 1800 425 4757 and also on 0422 - 2201093.
The media monitoring room has also been opened with all the monitoring facilities listed out by the Election Commission. The team in this room will monitor the news broadcast in Tamil and English news channels, and also advertisements by political parties with regard to elections.
Single window mode room has also been formed for providing approval to general meetings and rallies of political parties. Two such rooms have been constituted for each of the Coimbatore and Pollachi constituencies. Necessary officials have been appointed for election duty," detailed the Distrit Collector.
