Coimbatore: Protests in support of Pollachi sexual abuse case in Pollachi turned violent today, as the police physically removed hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the Municipality office in Pollachi.
More than 500 students from various colleges from Pollachi and Coimbatore agitated in front of the municipality office in Pollachi urging fair probe in the sexual abuse case in which over 200 young women are feared to have been abused.
As all efforts by the police to pacify the students to withdraw the protests went in vain, the students are being forcefully removed from the site.
