Coimbatore : Expressing their strong condemnation against the Pollachi sexual abuse incident, lawyers from Coimbatore staged an agitation demanding to constitute a separate team headed by a High Court Magistrate to interrogate the case.
The lawyers gathered in front of the District Court here on Wednesday and raised slogans against the police department alleging that the case was not handled fairly. They urged for action to be initiated on the District Superintendent of Police, Pandiarajan.
They also demanded that the Deputy Speaker, Pollachi Jeyaraman should step down from power since his son is alleged to be part of the scandal.
