The elephants that were roaming in a reserve at Koranjal opposite to a tasmac outlet had entered the farm belonging to Elias around midnight and damaged eight coconut trees. They had also damaged plantain and areca nut plants in the farm
They had camped in Vilakkadi and are posing threat to crop and human life. Meanwhile, farmers have requested foresters to offer compensation for the loss.
